What this site is
Attendance Tracker is a free tool, made for RCM students, that lets them record which classes they attended and see their attendance percentage.
It is an independent project built by a student. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to RCM or its administration in any way. RCM does not operate or have access to this site, and the attendance you record here is your personal record — not the college's official attendance register.
Data we store
When you sign up we store your name, username and a one-way hash of your password (never the password itself). We also store the semesters, subjects and timetable you create, and the attendance you record (date, period, subject and status). This data is used only to run the tracker and is never sold or shared.
When you pick your class (course, batch, semester and section), the timetable you set up for it — subjects, periods and weekly routine — is offered to classmates who pick the same class. Your attendance and account details are never shared.
You can export your attendance as CSV at any time, and delete your account (with everything in it) from Settings.
Cookies
We use two first-party cookies to keep you signed in: a session cookie, and a “keep me signed in” cookie that lasts up to 180 days so the app stays signed in on your phone. Both are removed when you log out.
Advertising
This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people use the app and which features they use (for example: pages visited, sign-ups, and when a day's attendance is saved). Google Analytics sets cookies and collects your device, browser and approximate location. We don't send your name, username or attendance to Google Analytics. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or an ad blocker.
Reminders
If you turn on daily reminders, your browser gives us a push address for your device (from Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft, depending on your browser), which we store linked to your account. Each evening we may send one notification through that service. The message is encrypted, so the push service can't read it. It only says whether a class day is unmarked and which subjects are under 75%. Turn reminders off in Settings, log out, or block notifications for this site, and we stop. We delete the address when you do, or when the push service tells us it no longer works.
