How to add Attendance Tracker to your home screen
Attendance Tracker is a web app, so there's nothing to download from an app store. But you can add it to your home screen, and then it behaves like any other app: its own icon, opens full screen, and loads quickly even on a slow connection.
On Android (Chrome)
- Open at.suvamsahoo.com in Chrome and sign in.
- You'll usually see a banner at the bottom saying Install the app. Tap Install.
- If you don't see the banner, tap the ⋮ menu in the top-right corner and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Confirm, and the icon appears on your home screen.
On iPhone (Safari)
- Open at.suvamsahoo.com in Safari and sign in. (Other browsers on iPhone may not offer this option, so use Safari.)
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add in the top-right corner.
Why bother?
- It's one tap. The whole point is marking attendance in a few seconds. Opening a browser and typing an address every day makes that much harder.
- You stay signed in. The app keeps you signed in on your phone for months, so you don't have to type your password each time.
- It opens fast. The app's files are saved on your phone, so it opens quickly even on weak campus Wi-Fi.
- It takes almost no space. A tiny fraction of a typical app download.
Something not working?
- No install option on Android: make sure you're in Chrome, not inside another app's built-in browser (like when you open a link from Instagram or WhatsApp). Tap the menu and choose "Open in Chrome" first.
- No "Add to Home Screen" on iPhone: make sure you're in Safari, and scroll down in the share sheet. It's below the row of apps.
- Still stuck? Message on WhatsApp.
